Jupiter LighthouseJupiter Lighthouse receives New Federal Designation

This past month the Jupiter Inlet Natural Area that includes the lighthouse and its surrounding 120 acres became part of the new federal conservation system. This is the first site on the East Coast to receive the designation. The lighthouse that has guided ships since 1860 is one of my most favorite places to spend an afternoon climbing the stairway to overlook some of the most beautiful views of the mainland and Atlantic Ocean.
