It is no wonder we are a prime destination for paradise living.
As the largest county southeast of the Mississippi River, Palm Beach County is alive with activity year-round. The beaches and waters of the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean and Lake Okeechobee present boundless opportunities for boating, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and many other water sports. For land lovers spending an afternoon at Moroso Motorsports Park is the perfect venue for the auto and motorcycle enthusiasts. If equestrian events are your sport the Wellington Winter Festival will provide you with four months of activities.
Touting more than 160 golf courses makes Palm Beach County the Golf Capital of Florida. A title that our county is proud to claim. Additionally, there are about 1,100 superior tennis courts, including the renowned Delray Beach Tennis Center, as well as polo fields of international acclaim and Roger Dean Stadium, home of the area’s two minor league teams and spring training for the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals.
Our little ones are drawn to kid-friendly place like the Palm Beach Zoo, South Florida Science Museum, Lion Country Safari, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Weather it’s the laser concerts and mini-golf course to feeding sharks and walking through a colorful butterfly garden to riding the rapids at the many water parks, there is always something to do to entertain the entire family. You won’t want to miss making the climb of the 105 steps of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, circa 1860.
Our residents and visitors cherish Palm Beach County’s enviable shopping enclaves and world-renowned retailers. On the island of Palm Beach, the famous Worth Avenue is a world unto itself. In addition, our half-dozen opulent shopping malls include The Gardens Mall and outdoor European-style centers such as City Place, Downtown at the Gardens and Mizner Park. We also must mention the numerous, quaint and trendy shops found along the main streets of our downtowns offering a unique shopping experience not found elsewhere.
